In 2014 Lipinki Forest District completed a project entitled "Promotion of transboundary cooperation between Lipinki Forest District Inspectorate and Landratsamt Bautzen Kreisforstamt".
The project partner representing Saxony is Landratsamt Bautzen Kreisforstamt (Division of Forestry at Bautzen District Office) with a seat in Kamenz (http://www.landkreis-bautzen.de).
The project enabled upgrading of the Lipinki Forest District website to include information on project partners in three languages: Polish, German and English.
Visit www.lipinki.zielonagora.lasy.gov.pl to learn more about our forests, nature and tourist attractions. The website also includes key information about things to take on a forest trip, news, titbits and interesting future events. Attractive graphic layout of the website encourages its viewers to visit the forests managed by Lipinki Forest District Inspectorate.
The project improved cooperation with foresters from Saxony and brought many changes resulting in better mutual understanding between Polish and German foresters. The understanding includes both, state and regional regulations.
The project entitled "Promotion of transboundary cooperation between Lipinki Forest District Inspectorate seated in Żary and Landratsamt Bautzen Kreisforstamt" was co-financed by EU within the scope of Small Project Fund, being part of Operational Programme for Transboundary Co-operation POLAND – SAXONY 2007-2013.
