Forest cultivation

The most fundamental aim of forest cultivation is to preserve and enrich the existing forests (restocking) and to create new forests (forestation), with respect for natural conditions and processes.

Forest protection

Knowledge of natural processes occurring in the environment and controlling the condition of the forest enable foresters to diagnose any hazards that can have negative impact on the forest. Every year efforts are made to protect sustainability of the forest and improve its natural resistance to harmful factors.

Forest use

In accordance with the principles of sustainable forest economy, apart from activities aimed at protection and enhancement of forest resources implemented by Lipinki Forest District Inspectorate, forest use makes another important area of its activity. It includes both, works connected with acquiring of timber (estimating its amounts and types, timber cutting and logging and its transport from the woods) and other related raw material such as Christmas trees or branches used for decoration.

Forest management

Forest economy of the State Forests is executed in accordance with forest management plans prepared for Forest District Inspectorates every 10 years. The plans are drawn up for the State Forests by special units, such as the Bureau for Forest Management and Geodesy (BULiGL). Following public consultations, forest management plans are approved by a decision of Minister of the Environment.

Hunting

Hunting activities within Lipinki Forest District are performed in 10 hunting circuits, including 8 hunting circuits managed by Lipinki Forest District Inspectorate and 2 hunting circuits managed by the neighbouring Forest District Inspectorates.
